Born in Cheltenham, England in 1939, A. Murray B. Polson (Murray Polson) received his Bachelor of Science at the University of Oregon (1968) and his Master of Fine Arts at the Instituto Allende in Mexico (1972). He studied theatrical set design at the University of Victoria and television production at York University. Polson has worked as an architectural designer and draftsman, and a free-lance product and graphic designer. He has worked as a set designer in numerous theatrical productions, and has acted in several theatrical, film, and television roles.
