Roz Marshall is a Welsh-born Canadian artist who has resided in Hawaii since 2002. In 1962 Marshall moved to Vancouver, BC where she studied art at the University of British Columbia (1965-1966) and honours painting at the Vancouver School of Art (1966-1970). In 1971 and 1972 Marshall studied ceramics and drawing at the High Wycombe College of Art in the UK, and printmaking at the Alberta College of Art on a part-time basis throughout 1973-1975. The recipient of multiple Canada Council Art grants, Marshall has exhibited as a solo and group artist throughout Canada, in the US, and internationally. She has shared her passion for art as an instructor, teaching of both children and adults, in post-secondary institutions, public schools, and summer camps. Marshall’s work is inspired by her studies of the Italian Renaissance, and the beauty of Hawaii and is interested in the role of women artists.
